At Grupo Primafrio, we avail of a fleet composed of more than 2,800 vehicles equipped with live tracking and safety systems, which allow us to constantly monitor the position, consumption, driving times, emissions and temperature of every one of our trucks. Thus, we achieve predictive and preventive maintenance to avoid any type of incidence guaranteeing the proper maintenance of the cold chain and traceability of the goods transported.
By means of our annual fleet renewal programme and the inclusion of Euro VI engines, we have complied with our sustainability goals. Additionally, we have introduced 100% hybrid refrigerated trailers, alternative modes of transport such as gas-propelled trucks (LNG), electric trucks or intermodal transport, which has allowed us to firmly advance towards decarbonisation and zero emissions.
As a result of our strategy in innovation linked to a fair and inclusive sustainability and energy transition, we have committed ourselves to reaching net zero emission before 2050.
Additionally, we feature among the 6 companies in the logistics and transport sector with the best ESG rating on a global level. We are adhered to the international Lean & Green initiative of AECOC (Association of Manufacturers and Distributors) where we have obtained our second star. And, through the AEGFA, Spanish Association for Management of Fleets and Mobility, our fleet has been the first to obtain the Ecological Fleet Accreditation.
